    Belgians-blech

Thanks for the link! I was thinking the "premium" ingredients would have a price tag to go along with them, but those are some pretty decent prices!:rockin:

Belgian beers are probably my FAVORITE beers. I have yet to drink a Belgian style that I didn't like. From abbeys to golden strongs, I just love them all. My last two brews were Belgian. A saison followed by a golden strong. Just ordered "Brew Like a Monk" and cant wait to read through it.

    Fermentation chamber

That looks absolutely awesome! So jealous right now. Does it have two separate compartments or are they connected?

    coopers kits?

I use my coopers fermenter for everything! Its the old screw top one, with a small grommet for an airlock. Evan have an extra hole drilled for a thermowell. Though it has a spigot I still use a bottling bucket to avoid getting to much sediment in my beers.

    Bottles for Golden Strong Ale.

I am bottling my Belgian golden strong tomorrow...... I have grolsch bottles though so it wont be a problem. Buy some PET bottles or maybe do a little more research and see what you come up with as far as normal bottles go. Honestly If my grolsch bottles were filled I would have used whatever...

Couple extracts under the belt... ideas for good starter all grain setup

My only advice, don't start with an 8gal kettle. Its just not enough! I struggled with actually bottling 5 gallons for a long time and this has a lot to do with it. Get something big enough to account for all the loss.

Bayou Classic Stainless Brew Kettle (16 Gallon)

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007V493PG/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 Have read nothing but good things about these. And I have even found them cheaper than that if you keep your eyes open. Even has gallons and quarts marked inside.

    Beer Camp Across America

Tropical maibock was great as everyone has already stated. The milk stout was another amazing beer. Those were my two favorites, think I got the case for $25 or $27. At that price though, the Stone brewing 12 packs mix of arrogant bastard, self righteous black IPA, reg IPA, and Ruination IPA...

    Jumping back in

Same here. Two kids put a halt to my brewing for about a year and a half. Just brewed a saison about 2 weeks ago and getting ready to bottle. Plan on brewing a belgian strong ale directly after I bottle.

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

Grabbed everything I need today from the brewshop. Using 3724 Belgian saison for the yeast (didnt have the exact one per the recipe) Also ended up using organic german wheat instead of belgian wheat malt.

    Barleywine or Russian Imperial Stout

Barley wine or a strong abby. Just my preference. But in the way of a "winter warmer" I think RIS fits that catagory a little better like GenIke said. Semantics though really.

Shameless Rants and Confessions of an Aspiring Pro

Congrats on the brewery man! Sooooo much potential starting out so young, not to much "life" getting in the way yet :D Your beer lineup looks awesome btw. Hell with my wife and daughter, going to school and whatnot, its hard to even find the time and money to brew me up 5 gallons as often as I...
