    Advice

Thanks heaps guys, now I think if it, when I added the dry hops I may have not fully resealed the lid. Tastes and smells great but will definitely take your advice and give it a bit longer... Hopefully their was enough pressure to keep any nasties out !! Cheers

    Advice

Hey Guys, due to renovations I have been fermenting in our spare bathroom.. Went in this morning and first thing I noticed was the smell... On investigation I found the lid had been slightly popped on my fermenting bucket... I have just done a hydro sample, it's at 1012, so nearly done...

    Did I screw up?

Did something similar, had a nightmare of a time bottling due to a blocked tap, I ended up using a jug to bottle 20 litres. (In frustration)...A couple of bottles were un drinkable but on the whole 95% were ok.... I did drink them as quick as possible though once carbed...

Drunken question about muh Block Party Ale

Best way to be safe is to take hydrometer readings, If they haven't moved after 48 hrs then you should be safe to bottle, personally I used to ignore instructions on kit brews when I started out and would leave the brew in primary fermentation for at least 3 weeks.. It lets the yeast clean up...

    Mould

Thanks ! Had a good look on the inside and it looked sweet... I did a few years as a chef so am pretty intense with my sanitation, it was a first to see mould that's for sure... Worse case I might just have to sink them quickly to be safe ! [emoji51]

    Mould

Thanks heaps, didn't consider that it could be caused by condensation... In about 15 batches I have had no sanitisation issues so fingers crossed I was spot on again... I Had the bucket in an ice bath to cool it for a few days... as the temps were up around the mid 20,s .. Only time the lid...

    Mould

Quick query ! On cleanup after bottling I noticed some mould in spots on the lip of the ferm bucket lid... Sample looked smelt and tasted great... Has anyone else had this happen before... Should I be concerned ? I also washed the yeast for reuse.. Ps brew Sat in primary for a few weeks. Fern...

    Newbie here

Have done a few coopers kits, it should taste great after a couple of months in the bottle, I would leave mine in primary for a few weeks at least... Although I know it's hard waiting when it's ur first brew (been there) I would get another batch down ASAP after bottling so you can let that one...

hygrometer indicates stuck fermentation from hot days - repitched but no action yet?

Have brewed this one a while back, did a two can of it and it finished at 1012, I used us05 yeast... Tasted great.. Give it a few weeks in the bottle at least...
