So I just realized that I forgot to rack to the secondary before adding the wood chips and bourbon to my whiskey barrel porter from AHS. I just added it to the primary. Will this be ok or is it an expensive lesson learned? :eek:
Just finished bottling a Weihenstephaner clone from AHS. Try using a piece of paper towel to soak up that foam so you can get a better reading on your hydrometer. Congrats on your first batch it looks great!
I did the Midwest Liberty Cream Ale Kit and added 1lb of local honey with 5min left in the boil. It tastes amazing, but Im not sure I can taste the honey. It did bump the ABV nearly 1%:D

I brewed the BB dunkelweizen on sat. I decided after much research not to use the danstar munich dry yeast it came with and opted for WPL300. It's been five days and the banana smell coming from the airlock is awesome.
