    buffering a too tart melomel

    I did a 5 gal batch using costco clover honey then added 5 cans of thawed walmart frozen fruit juice concentrate. Did this as an experiment. It too is tart. Any opinions while this poster brought up the topic.

    Brewing outdoors

    I also do all my brewing outside, including sanitation, mashing, brewing and cleaning. I've yet to have an issue with contamination. One thing I do is keep my pot cover while cooling and as much as I can until the lid is on for fermentation.

    bottles carbonated in 8 days

    No bottle bombs, my last batch I used table sugar I had the opposite problem. It took longer to carb. But it was my first strong scotch ale.

    Storing Sanitized Bottles... Outdoors

    I rinse my used bottles, cover the opening with aluminum foil after they dry, then store them in my shed, on bottling day I clean and sanitize said bottles, I've not yet had an issue with contamination.

    This too just happened to me. It's my first mead and first time adding nutrients. My question, is it ruined? I don't want to waste my time if its not going to turn out.

    My local brew club recently purchased bulk grain from our lhbs, I have 2 row, pale ale and pilsner. The lids are called gamma lids, they have an air and water tight seal and just screw on. I bought mine off ebay
