Hey guys, Just installed the Syl-2352 pid controller and when I calibrate it in cold water the temps read fine (about 33 degrees). When I set the temp to say 154 degrees Fahrenheit, the water is actually around 170 (according to other calibrated thermometers). My offset temp is only 2 degrees...

I just did an apricot beer and used dried apricots. I simmered @ 155 for about 15 mins and added to the secondary. Only issue I ran into was it seemed to rehydrate a lot more and I only ended up with about 3.5-4 gallons going into my keg.

I'd take a bag of canadian 2-row if I could pickup in Manchester.
