Due to a medical condition, I've had to cut way back on my alcohol consumption. So I no longer need my kegging stuff. I've got two items I'm trying to get rid of. Shoot me an email at dajdive at gmail dot com and I can send you some pics.

I started with a 5g cooler and found that it worked well for lower gravity beers. When I wanted to start making higher gravity brews, I quickly realized that my mash tun didn't have the space to do it. I now have a 10g cooler that meets all my needs. It did take a brew or two to dial in the...
Spotted Cow was my gateway drug into the seedy world of craft beer. My wife and I still love it and we get some every time we go up to Wisconsin. There are all grain recipes floating around out there. I made one and it tasted good. A little thin due to cooler mash temp. I'll definitely make it...
Like others have said, double check your mash temp through the mash process. I recently brewed a 3 Floyds Gumbballhead BIAB clone. I let the mash temp drop down to the mid-upper 140s. It is very thin and watery tasting. You also didn't mention if you are insulating your kettle during the mash...
I've been a type 1 diabetic for 20 years. What I've been told by my treatment team, is that drinking alcoholic beverages should be like eating, do it in moderation. As a diabetic, I can eat whatever I want, but the portion size drives how much my blood sugars will spike and how much insulin I...
I'm working on my first recipe from scratch, an fruit/citrus forward APA. I like Cascade and Chinook hops, but have not used Galaxy before (but have heard good things). Here is my hop schedule:
.5 oz Cascade @ 30min
.5 oz Chinook @ 30 min
1 oz Cascade @ 15 min
1 oz Galaxy @ 10 min
1 oz...
1/4" is too thin. When you roll it onto the cookie sheet, it should be 1/2" to 1" thick if you're going to use cookie cutters. Rolling it to thin will cause them to become brittle if cooked too long or break apart if not cooked thoroughly and they are soft.
It is a big beer. I would go with a starter if you can to give the best fermentation possible.
I secondary this beer. Two-three weeks in the primary then two-three more weeks in secondary. Then I add the bourbon soaked oak cubes and age it a couple more weeks. After it has bulk aged for about...
I brew this regularly. Its a great beer and has more flavor than Moose Drool IMHO. I have found that this beer gets better with a little more age. So I let it sit in the primary for about six weeks before cold crashing and kegging.
I just brewed this four weeks ago and will be bottling it this week. Smells great in the fermentor. I wasn't paying attention and added an extra 1/4 lb of honey to the boil so my OG hit 1.062.
