I'm in the boil process of a home brew and the recipe I got online called for 8lbs extract. I bought dme extract but I think the recipe was intended for lme. I put in around 7 lbs of dme extract before realizing my mistake. Is there anyway of fixing it? I'm still doing the boil right now. Thanks!

I made an IPA with less than 1 ounce of medium toast oak chips. After 3 weeks in the bottle I can kinda taste a dry bitter flavor at the back of my tongue. Could it be the oak chips giving this unwanted bittering flavor?

Last night i brewed a partial mash recipe for a stout. I mashed at 155 for 30 minutes. My O.G. was 1.070 and it was supposed to be 1.078. What happened? Is it a big problem or a way to fix it? I did mix the water in well since it was a partial boil.

How long did you leave the oak chips in the primary? is 16 days of fermentation enough? Ive always read to let it ferment for at least 3 weeks. Also how did you sanitize the oak chips?
