    I read nothing in this manual that states that warmer beer absorbs Co2 quicker or more efficiently can you please reiterate the passage you are speaking of?

    The colder the temp the more co2 gets absorbed.... The pressure increases with temp. For instance warm beer goes flat quicker than cool beer. I carbonate at 2c for 3 days at 12 psi. Perfect. cooler temps = better absorption

    You might have some Channeling in your mash tun. Have you tried an alternate way of collecting the wort other than a braided hose?

    Tax on Malt Grains

    Is it possible they don't consider Beer or beer ingredients as a necessary or food, for the alcohol in beer causes health issues. I see no reason to waive taxes on such a product. Just my opinion.

    agreed. Once co2 is being formed it will sink to the surface lvl of the wort. just chuck your wort in there and pitch and normal. just may take longer to fill the head space with co2...

    Maybe its my training, but you want to aerate your wort before pitching? Aerating at 212f no. but at pitching temp of 70c yeah you want to aerate your wort.

    What would you suggest in a heat shield? I pulled the burner apart and gave it a good cleaning. I also increased the hole size from the hose to the burner to help flow. I will give it another test tomorrow in the garage. I am also getting alot of soot, more than I normally got in...
