    Lesson Learned (Noobs need to read this)

    Find a friend that has chickens and give them the grains in exchange for fresh eggs. Thats what I started doing.

    I use the same thing, plus I crush up 1 cambden tablet into my mash water. That way you get out both chlorine and chloramines.

    Oatmeal Stout Yooper's Oatmeal Stout

    made this on 8-2 (sat). used wlp-007, made a 1.5l starter on a stir plate and it started fermenting in under 3 hours. keeping my fingers crossed mine turns out as well as a lot of these have. Thanks Yooper

    How Do I Add Coriander & Orange Peels?

    find your local Indian grocery store and buy it already crushed. I bought 7 oz. crushed coriander for $1.99. for other seeds I use an old coffee grinder, as said before fast and easy to clean.

    to bring it down to 70 ibu's beer smith says the first 8 additions should be .52ozs each. with the 1 oz at each addition I'm coming up with 134 ibu's. that just seems way to high. Are the majority of people using the exact hop schedule for the OP's recipe? Thx, Dave
