    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

I've only made this a couple of times, but in my limited experience and from reading this discussion, it shouldn't need any aging as long as you used the bread yeast as prescribed in the original recipe. Mine has always been wonderfully drinkable as soon as it cleared. I think where some people...

Easy Stove-Top Pasteurizing - With Pics

I think you're just asking for trouble by heating the pot with the bottles inside. The bottom of that pot with stove on, will get way hotter than the water. Easy Stove-Top Pasteurizing - With Pics

A couple things that might help... 1) Pappers lowered his recommended temp to 180 degrees in some more recent posts in this thread 2) The bottom of your pot could be considerably hotter than the water temp, especially if it has a thick bottom. Try to put something between the bottles and the...

Goose Island Christmas Ale pre 2009

Sorry I don't have any insight into the pre-2009 version. The 2012 version is probably the best brown ale I have ever had. I would love some recipe info on that if anybody has anything to share.

    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

I agree. But whether they use the silver cloud extract our create their own, this sounds like the closest a homebrewer may be able to get. What is the consensus on the base recipe at this point?

    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

Because they didn't put it on one of them. I'm not convinced that they are required to.

    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

As this Warlock is a stout version of Pumking, it almost PROVES that there is some sort of 'natural flavor' added to Pumking as well.

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

Yeah sorry. Used the pliers to pull the pieces out. I was able to get my jug clean with a bottle brush. Just bend the brush as needed to get the angles. Then sanitize with StarSan.
