American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Thanks Ed! I can't wait to see how she turns out! I brewed this yesterday doing my usual BIAB and No Chill Method. I also followed Pol's No Chill Hop Chart. I'll pitch sometime today and put her in the fermentation chamber. I'll report back the results after kegging in a few weeks. Just wanted...

    Bottling Bucket

The sediment comes from the yeast once bottle conditioned. I wouldn't risk infection by straining it.

    What's your favorite BMC beer?

Took me awhile to find my go to cheap beers. I drink High Life when its hot and Yuengling Traditional Lager when its not. Bottles for me.

    Kegging homebrew

I got my ball lock kegs on ebay and the kegerator system from kegconnection.com. I bought a used fridge off craigslist and can get 4 kegs in it. I'm just using picnic taps to serve for now.

Hello... about ready to start brewing!

Welcome to the obsession Batonga! This forum is the best. I've learned everything I know from here. I do not know anyone personally that brews but I hope to one day but for now the wife and I will enjoy brewing alone.

    Kegging homebrew

When I first started brewing 7 months ago, I bottled. The wife and I did not enjoy the bottling process at all so we got some kegs and won't look back. Clean and fill one big bottle vs. around 50 individual bottles.

    Racking on a yeast cake.

Ok. I should be able to do this then right?. Flame out, cover pot, wait till the next day for pitching temps and then drain wort from pot onto yeast cake. Correct? The main reason I do BIAB and no chill is for simplicity. Ok, I'm really just lazy but it does work well for me. Now I'm trying...

    Racking on a yeast cake.

What if your using the no chill method? Could the opposite be done by dumping the cake in the beer once it has cooled to pitching temps? I was thinking that on brew day during the mash process I could keg a beer, seal the container with the cake and put it back in the fermentation chamber and...
