    beer and protein powder...

Definitely resurrecting an old thread. Just curious if anyone actually tried this. I would give it a whirl if it were on the market. I workout and I drink beer. Seems a natural fit. Would hate to shake up or blend my beer to mix protein in it.

    sanitizing bottles

I rinse all my bottles after I pour a beer and dry them on a tree. Then when it is time to bottle I sanitize with the high temp setting on my dishwasher without any kind of detergent or cleaner. I've done this 7 times now without any infections.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Just tried my first bottle after a week of carbing. Barely any bubbly right now but it still tastes great. I tweaked the hops schedule to make it lean a bit more toward pale ale bitterness. Definitely will be a regular in my pipeline.

Do I quit or suck it up?

write an ebook and make some money online. Sounds like you have very specific knowledge in a narrow field which is awesome for an ebook. Just a thought. I personally want a life of freedom, not being a slave to a job and working away the best years of my life because it's what I'm "supposed" to...

    Dishwasher to sanitize bottles?

My dishwasher has a high heat wash and a high heat dry cycle. I've been using this cycle for my last 5 batches without any problems. The beer tastes fine and I haven't seen any nasties grow in a bottle yet. I thoroughly rinse each bottle after I pour a beer and I will even give them a scrub...

Do I quit or suck it up?

Do I quit? Do I suck it up and just live an unhappy, lonely life? It's the only life you get man. You don't owe anyone anything so do what makes you happy. They print more money everyday and I would rather work a job I enjoy for less than be miserable. My 2 cents, but I don't think spending...

    Abita Brewery

Lived in Louisiana all my life and haven't even been to Abita Springs. Pretty small town I hear. I think the brewery is about all it has.

    Losing hoppiness in IPAs

I notice the exact same thing when I did my SN Torpedo clone. After being patient and letting the bottles carb up for three weeks the beer was phenomenal. I like it so much I savored them, drinking them slowly. Big mistake on my part. The last bottle went away just recently and the flavor...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Brewed the extract version last Saturday. I changed the hop additions around a bit. Tasted delicious. Can't wait to bottle this one.
