I'm excited to open one on Friday from my latest batch. This time I tried using the the most pale DME available.

Peace of mind. Yea it swelled. And it's fermenting away so I guess I'm good but I worked that pack good to make sure I broke everything in there. I was surprised when I had not.

rifraf I'm looking to move beyond a kit and do a recipe. I'd like to try this. I'm a big fan of Green Line. So, switching to the Muntons means no steeping? I'm not familiar with Maltodextrin but I'll ask about it. Did you just use 1 pack of S-33?

Thanks.. I'll just keep the boil at 3 gallons. I makes sense that they are trying to make the instructions for anyone. I really only have one burner that can do 3 gallons and it takes some time
