    Festbier World's Best Oktoberfest

Great recipe! Lots of good reviews from fiends!

Festbier Bee Cave Brewery Oktoberfest Ale

Just kegged it tonight. Finished right at 1.015 for 5.5% ABV. The gravity sample tasted spot on with the Oktoberfest style. I'm really looking forward to enjoying this one after it lagers a few months!

    Beer lines between batches

StarSan makes my vinyl gooey too if I leave it sit to long.

Festbier Bee Cave Brewery Oktoberfest Ale

10 gallons of this are in the ferm chamber. I decided to make it a true lager though and pitched 2 packs of Saflager 34/70 in each bucket once it stabilized at 48°. Brewed it yesterday without any issues, so I'm looking forward to trying it in a few months!

Dark Mild Reaper's Mild, 1st place 2011 HBT Competition

This is a nice recipe. I made 10 gallons and it's going quick. Everyone enjoys it. I'm upping the grain bill a little next time though. 3.5% just doesn't cut it for me lol.

    Show us your Kegerator

That's really smart! The only bad thing is, when you have friends over, your opening it up a lot and letting all the cool air out.

    BrewToad Or BeerSmith *Worth it*?

+1 For Beersmith. Simplified my brewing and allows me to get an idea of my recipe befits I brew it. With every penny to me!

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

I fertilized, and 5 days later they were brown. But... 48 hours after my post, they exploded with side chutes. Here are some pics I took tonight if the same plants.

First (and hopefully last) bottle bomb

I had three bottles blow up while on vacation once. They were contained in my ferm chamber but made a huge stinky mess inside. I popped all the caps and put new ones on to relieve the pressure. Turned out great! I now keg for this reason. So much easier too ;)

    Show us your Kegerator

I'm finally starting to keg and it sure beats bottling. That's for sure. The tall freezer in the pictures is the keezer. It's 21 cu feet and soon to have 6-8 faucets and a nitro on the front. I can fit 12 Cornys in there without the 20# tank. The smaller one is 18 cu feet, and is my ferm...
