    Cream Ale Colorado Cream Ale

    Has anyone tried this? How does it taste? I was thinking of making a Maple Cream Ale and using this as a starting point since it has a sweeter taste to it. Any suggestions?

    Finally opened this last night. It might need a little bit more time to mellow out as it has a bit of a strong hoppy taste still but the spices and definitely the pumpkin can be tasted as it goes down. Really delicious. Thanks everyone for the recipes, tips and help!

    I actually boiled the pumpkin in a mesh bag for the hour with the extract. I got most of it out and when racking to secondary it was nice and clear. Not sure of the results yet but i think I will get beer ;)

    Same, my gravity is about 1.042, just racked to primary. Guess I'll keep a watch on it and will probably do the same.

    Thanks. I should have mentioned I'm planning on making the 5gallon extract method. First time venturing out from a 'kit' so just trying to get some of the details that aren't listed down.

    A little bit curious about adding the spices. When talked about making a tea and then adding (but not filtering). Do the spices get put in a cloth and dipped as to not get any particles into the wort or just dump them in? Also a question about volume. When steeping the grains how much water...
