    Heater element Question

    Probably a dumb question but.. Where are u guys buying the nut that goes on the inside of your pot to secure your elements? All the hot water tank elements i am finding screw into a flange.

    Yup i did... I bought one about a month ago and it was about the same price... few cents different.

    I live in CT and i order from North Country Malt. I just called them for a 55# sack of 2 row is $27.01 and to ship it to the Litchfield hills area where i am from it $22.39. For a grand total of $49.40. That is $.90 a pound. No LHBS is going to be able to come close to that. Also their prices on...

    alright just put them in some bins with about 55 degree water and i will check them in the morning. Just poured a pint of a AAA. Forget about it.

    The room temperature was only about 70 or 71 but the little stickey thermomoter i have on the carboy read 76-78. So i am guessing that the room temp plus the yeast activity = 78. Hopefully turns out drinkable. Ah it will still be better than any BMC.

    one thing i can suggest is to stir your mash at each batch sparge and then vorlauf. loosen up some more of that sugar.

    Countrymaltgroup.com i paid $44 for 55lbs CMC 2 row and 5lbs of Munich....Buy in bulk and put it in bins.........It is nice to support your local LHBS but buying grains i would buy from these guys your LHBS is going to charge upwards of $2.00 a pound
