    Fruit Beer Cranberry Wheat

You're right, but we have to wait for the OP to get back. I got the impression he wasn't familiar with the phrase "grain bill" earlier. At any rate, you can use ~50% wheat and ~50% pilsner malt and you should do just fine, there's not too much to an american wheat beer grain bill.

    Fruit Beer Cranberry Wheat

Did you bottle yet? How did this turn out? When Deggenbe asked about your grain bill, what he's asking is what grains you mashed and how much of each. I'm also curious about this. Thanks.

Where do you guy GF ingredients?

A friend of mine is a celiac and I've recently been teaching her to brew because she's sick of red bridge and interested in brewing her own GF beer. I have 3 questions - Do GF brewers ever mash? If so, where can I find some information on how that's done? Where do GF brewers buy...

    $100 Aluminum RIMS tube build

OK team. I want to present my RIMS tube plan. It's $100 without shipping from MSC Direct. I have to cite all the SS RIMS tube articles on HBT, without them I wouldn't know what else to do. It's much more expensive to make this with SS or copper, as far as I've seen trying to part this thing...

    Why didn't my silicone stick?

What happened here? I hate to resurrect such an old thread but this is something i'll be doing soon myself.

Pumping Cold Water in an IC via March Pump?

I guess the biggest thing I'll have to check is what kind of pressure the hose will encounter, as that pipe will bottle neck flow. Walker, I get the same impression about why people use the pond pumps. That being said, obviously march pumps are super common and I'm surprised I couldn't find...

Pumping Cold Water in an IC via March Pump?

I've been feeding my 3/8" (I think, but it's for sure smaller than 1/2") Copper IC via gravity from a bucket perched on a stool. I've recently built a frame for my brewery and this is no longer as simple as it once was. I'm considering using my keggle HLT to hold cold water and ice. This cold...

Soldering Keg Plumbing: Where is it appropriate?

I think you guys are right about not being able to reconfigure my kettles, that's probably something I'll want to do in the future. Question answered, i'm not soldering this stuff together. For fittings where I need a certain orientation (in a diptube or elbow, for instance), what's the best...

Soldering Keg Plumbing: Where is it appropriate?

This is true, and it was the only drawback I could come up with. I think I could do pretty well with pipe cleaners and pumping cleaning fluid through, but I'm not sure. Not every one of these connections needs to be soldered anyway - perhaps only some of them?

Soldering Keg Plumbing: Where is it appropriate?

Alright team, I have a soldering design question. I have 2 SS kegs and have soldered in 1/2" ID female SS couplings. Now, I have SS plumbing attached to each of these couplings, which is unsoldered and instead just pipe taped and screwed in. My questions are: Is there any reason not to...

Making prickly pear juice for mead

mmmmmmmmmmm this sounds good. I'm thinking about making a local honey - prickly pear - agave mead, but I don't have the first idea of where to start. I know I can get local prickly pear syrup, and definitely imported (MAYBE local, if I'm lucky) agave syrup. Any suggestions?

Autolysed Yeast in Starter - Am I OK?

I can't speak from experience, but I've had a few hefeweizens that have traveled significantly to get to me. Sometimes, they end up with this bacon flavor that is not really appetizing at all. I always assumed it had something to do with mistreatment of the yeast during import, probably due to...

    Keggle Soldering/Brazing with Butane Microtorch

BargainFittings, thanks for fixing those pictures. That thread is exponentially more helpful now. Budzu, what kind of solder did you use? Normal home depot style lead-free plumbing solder? Thanks for the help guys.

    Keggle Soldering/Brazing with Butane Microtorch

Yessir. How's the homebrew community in ABQ? It's pretty weak down here, but I'm trying to get as many of my friends interested and involved as I can. Steve, I went through that thread while thinking about this. Alot of good information, it's too bad that most of the pictures in the first 2-3...
