    Bottling a Triple NEIPA

Agreed... everything you said! Can you also please explain your setup? For me, I purge my kegs and lines with CO2 five times. The beer is pressure transferred using a CO2 tank from fermenters.

Maybe joining a local homebrewers club is in order? I suggest performing the same xbmt again and asking a group of experienced brewers to give their opinion. Good luck with brewing again, sorry if my response came out a little harsh. Hope it didn’t affect your spirits.

Increasing yeast alcohol tolerance using Potassium salt

You are spot on there about saltiness from Potassium creating problems. After posting this, I also happened to consider the effect of introduced alkalinity on a beer, as it can react with some of the aroma and flavour components. Especially hop oils and tannins from the malt. The study paper...

    Bottling a Triple NEIPA

The SMB ratio is off my friend. You are not supposed to add more than 0.3g of SMB per 20 liter batch. That’s 0.00975g per 650 ml bottle. Since I have had my time with “wild” experiments in my 19 years of brewing career I have learned to first listen to the wise. Also with my experience...

Increasing yeast alcohol tolerance using Potassium salt

Hey guys, I was googling around about random stuff when I stumbled upon a mind blowing research article by MIT students. The paper is not very new(2014) but I haven’t seen anyone discussing this in the homebrewing world. To the research paper According to the research, a careful addition of...

    CraigTube is back!

Yeah, I guess we all have to wait until he uploads his next full length video. He is uploading slower for the past couple of years, and the videos are getting longer. ;) Every once in a while I kinda check on him to see if the old man is doing alright, lol. Youtube has stopped being funny these...

    CraigTube is back!

He hasn't made it clear yet. Some say it was his logo that was heavily inspired by youtube's own logo while others say it was some video from his other channel where he covered a commercial song and forgot to mention one of the artists. All he explained was he never received a formal warning...

    CraigTube is back!

I can totally relate to other comments explaining how they are not the biggest fans but are still somehow ok with the guy, me neither to be honest, I don't follow him anymore, but he definitely has a soft spot in my heart with his never ending passion for brewing and for maintaining a brewing...

    CraigTube is back!

Good news... He just posted a one and half minute video on his channel saying both of his channels are back. Everyone I know was in panic and a lot of petitions and facebook-insta posts were happening. Hopefully we can all relax and enjoy a homebrew now..

Fermentation Wont Stop after 51 Days

Thanks for your reply! True! I totally agree with you. 1118 are also flat with no distinct character IMHO. But I have mentioned the reasons why I had to use these yeasts in my above reply to Rob. It's difficult to get beer specific yeasts in India. Homebrewing culture is almost non existent...

Fermentation Wont Stop after 51 Days

Thanks for your reply Rob. 1. Hydrometer 2. I aerated the wort with a sanitized foodgrade plastic stick for about 10 minutes before pitching yeasts. I also had a DIY wort oxygenator before but it broke a few months prior. I've used these Champagne yeasts a few times before with pale ales with...

Fermentation Wont Stop after 51 Days

Hello Everyone, First off I ve tried looking for similar threads but couldn't find anything as strange as this so thought of posting a new thread. I started my batch on 2nd of January this year and it was supposed to be a high gravity beer/barley wine. Didn't follow any recipe as I like to...
