Sadly i have not. I will be getting around to it soon though. Its gonna be a small batch experimentation of brewing tasting and tweaking this coming fall. Ive been doing a stockup of normalish beers for the semester currently.

    Help making a new recipe

So I made a quick recipe. I kept the hop additions mentioned earlier in the thread. I also added a little rye to give just a bit of mouthfeel. I plan on brewing this in like 2 months so I wanna tweak this and make it pretty good for the first brew of it. Thanks for the help guys! Luke...

    Help making a new recipe

Hey, so I am looking at making a clone/similar style of beer for one my favorites. I really just wanna get something in the similar ballpark as this. The beer is called spare rib pale ale by coops brewery. It has a pretty light and delicate malt taste to me while having a strong hops flavor...

    Good cheap recipe!

So I currently have 5lbs of pilsner malt, 1 oz of cascade, and 1 oz of mosaic currently available to use. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i could make 1 gal of a pale ale / ipa? (Btw i love dry hopping much more than really high ibu). And then maybe make a ginger beer with light hopping...

    Good cheap recipe!

So next im working up a 5 gallon recipe to split ingredients between 3 people to make it more economically feasible. one of the loves stouts and porters and the other doesn't like really dark but more sweet beers like wheats or cream ales. I was thinking maybe a 4% mild would be good probably...

    Good cheap recipe!

So tried out the amber ale and the cream ale this week after bottle conditioning for a little over 2 weeks and sitting in fridge for 2 days. The amber turned out really good! It was a little sweet but im not too familiar with this style to know if this is normal or not. The cream ale i majorly...

    Good cheap recipe!

I have considered doing this but have worried about not having enough flavor density to it. But I guess I could get around by focusing more on the hops and do something to give it more body! I actually did dry hopping on my first beer and it turned out good so ill definately put a session beer...

    Good cheap recipe!

    Good cheap recipe!

So I made the blonde ale recommended by chelishubby earlier and was gonna dump the cream ale wort on top of the yeast cake from the blonde (the struggle of having only one carboy...). Im assuming this will work well enough as being the cream ale will be in the carboy for 2-3 weeks before I can...

    Good cheap recipe!

Thanks for the help guys! Just one more question, would I mash in at 152f or a little lower? And would I just combine the malt and the grits in the mash together?

    Good cheap recipe!

To be honest I know little to nothing about yeasts but this sounds great to me! What would be the difference in switching to us-05 for yeast? I live in the hot wasteland of Oklahoma and have trouble with heat management of my fermentation. I know us-05 is decent with fermenting at high temps.

    Good cheap recipe!

Hello I am working up the plans for my 3rd batch. I have done 2 all grain pale ales and love the way that they turned out! But now I'm looking for a good, cheap, and relatively straightforward recipe for a low ABV beer. Let me know if yall have any good provenews recipes. I'm mostly interested...
