Looking for Christmas morning breakfast in New Orleans

Wife and I will be driving from Atlanta to Baton Rouge Christmas and plan on making a stop in New Orleans to "re-fuel". I know Cafe du Monde is closed :( So we are looking for another option. Don't plan on spending a ton of money or getting dressed. Just a cool diner or something of the sort...

    Brewery Build Legal Question

This may not be the right place for this question, but I know someone on here may have an answer. Looking at opening up a nano in Georgia and have found a great spot, but the area has a lot of surrounding schools and churches. I know for serving alcohol, you have to be at least 100 yards away...

Another stuck fermentation on a RIS

Been away from brewing for over a year, so I am maybe a bit rusty. Colleagues were after me to brew a big beer for the winter time and decided on a RIS. Being that Georgia has been having some very freakish weather (20 F on Monday, 60F on Sunday???) temperatures have been a little difficult to...

    Three Taverns Craft Beer Dinner

White Hops has quickly become my favorite from their year round line-up, but it's tough to beat Theophan when it's out. Hear they are going to barrel age the next batch. Can't wait for that! We will be debuting the keg system that night with Theophan on tap as the initial beer from the 6 tap...

    Fermentation Time

What is the longest that you have had any beer still in primary? I brewed a batch of Biere de Garde and places in primary in 3/25/13. I have been extremely busy everyday, I am a chef and we are starting a restaurant. It won't be until another 4-5 weeks until I have time to bottle.

    South of the Border opportunity

It's a pretty nice looking place too. If you PM me, i will send you some pictures of his brewery setup. He using a Sabco at the moment and produces only for himself and a couple of bars; one is in Playa Del Carmen at Club De La Cerveza. Pass this around to anyone looking for a unique opportunity.

    South of the Border opportunity

I have a friend in Mexico who is starting a nano brewery and distillery in Xcalack Mexico. He sent me this: "Looking for an experienced homebrewer to help refine our products on a nano brewery level. We are also starting a distillery, so with that as well if possible. We are located in...

    Savannah Trip planning

Just took a look at the Pink House. No offense, but way out of our style. Looks like something my mother might love, complete opposite of us. Really looking for something that has a pork-centric menu or flavor to it. Got a buddy who is friends with the owner of "Sandfly BBQ" so definitely...

    Savannah Trip planning

Also don't mind a hole in the wall if the food is good. Had one of the best tacos from a garage restaurant in Mexico cooked by a 14 year old kid. Mmmm, beef tongue

    Savannah Trip planning

Ok, heading to Savannah with the wife for a Sunday to Monday trip. Already know a couple of places to go, not her choice! Distillery Savannah is one along with maybe Circa 1875 (because the have foie gras, can't turn that down). We love gastropubs and eclectic foods, so we are looking for a...

    This can't be right!! Efficiency?

I usually like to hit on the lower side of the IBU's since I am not much of a hop head. If I add some bitterness, that is fine, most people I know go for hoppier beer styles. I am also not boiling for much longer, it was maybe 10 more minutes, then I called it quits because I was not looking...

Heading to Asheville for a day

Wicked Weed looks decent. Took a look at Laughing Seed, then left when it said vegetarian, sorry, I like the noble pig.
