    The Walking dead

I'm thinking eliminate Maggie from the running also. It could be too much speculation, and I may be reading too much into it, but when they interviewed Lauren Cohen for Talking Dead last week, she kinda let slip the fact that her and Enid were going to continue to grow this sisterly relationship...

    The Walking dead

So, am I the only one who picked up on the literary allusion to The Scarlet Letter with the stamped red "A" that Rick and Jessie are now wearing? Possible foreshadowing for what's coming, as well as a hint that we're now in a world were things like adultery will be considered major crimes again...

    The Walking dead

Oh, Man. Don't go down this path. I tried these arguments about the Governor the previous 2 seasons. The fastest way to earn the wrath of this group is to try to defend the bad guys :D.

    The Walking dead

I missed Talking Dead this week which really chapped my a$$, but I suspected it was something like this. I was actually thinking this was more along the lines of the guy who comes home and finds his wife cheating on him with another man, so he decides she's "being raped." I kind of thought...

    The Walking dead

I may be wrong here...I'll have to re-watch last season to be sure, but didn't Rick and Daryl already have this confrontation. The first person Rick told was Maggie, but I think the episode after Rick returned showed the Rick/ Daryl thing. It was actually very short and anti-climactic if I...

    The Walking dead

It should be a rule that when characters appear on aftershow shows (i.e. Talking Dead) they have to stay somewhat true to character. I was so excited about getting to hear Rick's views for the first time, but I'm not gonna lie...I kinda died a little inside after listening to Austin Powers talk...

    German. Pronunciation

I don't know man, but that must be the biggest city in Germany. There's signs for that place at every exit ramp on the autobahn. :D

    The Walking dead

I see bad things coming for Beth. My prediction is that Daryl's group is going to find her and she is going to get "claimed" by one of the other members. They put too much emphasis on that last night. It's going to rear it's head again in a very bad way.

    OCD or just weird preferences?

I have to sleep with my feet covered by the blankets so the monsters can't get me. No kidding. It's some weird holdover from childhood. Don't know why. I was terrified of monsters under the bed to the point that when getting into bed I would have to take a running shot and jump in so my feet...

    Visiting Germany, suggestions needed

+1 to this. The little Gasthaus in Giebelstadt, just outside our base, had the most excellent appetizer I've ever had. It was 4 thick slices of Black Bread smothered with butter and topped with raw bacon (Rohen Schinken) and Pickles. Delicious.

    Visiting Germany, suggestions needed

I gotta second this one. My first wife, Anja, was from Rothenberg o.d. Tauber, and I used to love spending the weekends there when we were dating. There's a gorgeous park at the edge of the town where you can look off the wall to the valley below, not to mention the Town square clock that honors...

    Visiting Germany, suggestions needed

What?!? No mention of the Kreuzberg monastery yet? It may be a bit off your course if you're planning on a more southerly trip, but if you're heading north from Frankfurt at all, veer a bit to the east. Just to the southeast of Fulda there is a town called Wildflicken, and a mountain peak...

    Beer Drinking Instructions Desperately Needed

Me and a buddy were talking about this the other day. It seems to me that a good beer is like a good steak. There should never be any reason to add anything else to it other than what was used to produce the product in the first place (Yeah, I'm talking to you A-1). It seems to me, that this...

    Dunkelweizen Yeast Question

Hi, NewBrew. I'm a big Dunkel fan myself. Got hooked on the junk when I was stationed in Germany, and its one of the beers that got me into brewing. I wouldn't worry too much with a starter. I pitch my White Labs straight into the wort out of the yeast tube and have always needed a...

    Jokes Dirty or otherwise

A guy is driving around a small backwoods town in Alabama and he sees a sign in front of a house: "Talking Dog For Sale." He walks to the front porch where the owner, an cranky elderly fellow, tells him the dog is in the backyard. The guy goes into the backyard and sees a Labrador Retriever...
