    Mash time

On Beersmith 2.2 I am doing a full body beer 17 LBS of grain for a 5 gallon batch. On my mash profile, the mash time comes up as 45 min. I just cannot see that mashing for only 45 min can work. Any suggestions? Comments? Help? Thanks
