I am retired, and finding little craft beer available in Costa Rica, I decided to become a home brewer. Bought start kit in USA, and just finished my first brew, a Canadian Pale Ale, a simple brew just to get started. I love hoppy ales. A double IPA is my goal, but I need to get a few batches under my belt first. The lovely MJ, a great cook, views brewing as just another phase of cooking, and is interested in being my assistant brewer.
