Best deal I could find, if anyone knows somewhere better I would be interested to know. Complete Shank; Faucet and Knob Assembly with all hardware - $24.99
A week later, no change in gravity reading and it still tastes a bit like butter. I went ahead and pitched another Nottingham to see if it will get it going again. I'll check back later for activity. Not sure what else I can do at this point.
On another note, I started a batch of Ed's IPA...
I don't think I ruined it, but I think I cold crashed a little early and I may have a dydiacetyl problem. I checked the hydrometer after 8 days and it was around 1.015 which beersmith said was in range for the style. I tasted it, and it tasted a little funny. I was just reading a thread about...
Well, it was my first grain ever and I am sure we didn't do everything right through out the process. But according to my calculations, my efficiency was about 73%.
Also, I propose we give this thing a proper name. I will start the suggestions with the "Pasta Crusher." I like that name because...
I did my first all grain brew yesterday using the Pasta Crusher. The Dremel grinder attachment idea didn't work out so well. After about 90 seconds of crushing, the powder from the grain was causing the rollers to become smooth and would not crush any more grain until we stopped and wiped down...

Started on my pasta crusher today. Here's what I have done so far.

Here...
It's a Brewer's Best kit. I don't remember the exact kind of yeast I used, but here's the recipe: http://www.leisure-time.com/Recepies/BB%20Weizenbier.doc
The only deviation from that recipe that I made is I put about a half an ounce of sweet orange peel and a half an ounce of coriander in.
OK, it's been almost a week (6 days) since I first read 1.020. I just did a reading about five minutes ago, and it's still 1.020.
Like I said, the gravity should be between 1.010 and 1.014.
What should I do?
It's in a bucket, how would i determine if it is a problem with the bucket? Do I just replace the whole thing?
When I put light pressure on the lid, I do get bubbles in the airlock so...
