Georgia Kegerator - Antique General Motors Refrigerator - $1350

I purchased this old General Motors Fridgidaire refrigerator five years ago and converted it into a 3 tap kegerator. It has always and continues now to work like a champ. I reworked some of the electrical, sanded, coated, painted, and added the hardware for a gas line and three tap setup...

    Georgia Gueuzerie

This area has seen a lot of growth in demand for craft beer/breweries. One of the reasons that I am exploring this idea is due to the fact that so many new breweries have opened in the Atlanta area. More importantly, they are seemingly all doing well. I am looking at space along the downtown...

    Georgia Gueuzerie

I agree - thanks for the feedback. Having good data on the market is a critical lesson I have learned after spending five years as head of marketing for my firm. I am at the earliest stages of developing a business plan and am only just now attempting to identify issues/concerns with the...

    Georgia Gueuzerie

Thank you for the detailed reply Levifunk - this is exactly what I was looking for. I had considered working with a brewery, but assumed that there would be an aversion to having souring organisms in close proximity to their product. Did you encounter these concerns – if so, how were...

    Georgia Gueuzerie

So I wanted to bounce an idea off of the HBT community to get your feedback. I am more concerned with collecting objections/problems with this concept than I am about the nuts and bolts of starting a brewery. Over the last several years I have read about those hurdles and with enough capital, I...

Alternative Grain Beer Irish Rye Stout

I brewed 10 gallons (AG) of this back on 10/16. I kegged it on 11/17. It tastes really good. I agree that the rye probably adds some of that peppery/spiciness to the beer. Smells great for being as young as it is, though not getting as much of that diacetyl, but maybe that will come. Again...

good cheap all grain ale recipe.

Another point for cream of three crops. It really is a good non-lager go to for the beer you are looking for. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f62/cream-three-crops-cream-ale-66503/

    Cider Help

So - I found myself at an orchard in Ellijay, GA a two weeks ago. I spontaneously decided to buy 5 gallons of unpasteurized cider. Having never made a cider before I asked the guy at the orchard how it was done and he recommended unscrewing the cap every few days and letting the wild yeast do...

    All Grain upgrade question

I have one 15 gallon pot. I brew 10 gallons every brewday in the manner you detailed. I heat my strike water to mash in temp and then scoop that into the mash tun/cooler. Half way through the mash I begin heating my sparge water. I do a double sparge so the first runnings get collected into a...

Wyeast 3278 and 5526, oh, and malted wheat

Ok - so I have a couple of questions prior to my Lambic brew day. I am looking to do a pretty simple recipe, 60%pils / 40% wheat. Here is what I need more info on: I have a sack of malted white wheat and a 5 gallon bucket of hard red wheat that my wife uses to make whole wheat breaad. Is...

    Zythos hops

I just kegged and IPA dry hopped with Zythos. I do not care whether these are a blended hop or what, they are incredible! The pine aroma is not overpowering, but under girded by a sweet citrus. I absolutely love it. Overall the aroma is amazing... almost addictive. These hops are good.
