It's the 1.5" probe from auber. I'm not sure why yours isn't fitting in the tee. Maybe the tee is not a standard size?

What is your CFC made out of? If it's all metal, you could try baking it in the oven for a while to carbonize whatever's in there and then flush it out once it's cooled.

Do you have a pair of wire strippers? Just check the gauge of the wire with the appropriate die on the stripper (with the power off of course) to confirm whether it's 12 or 14. My guess is 12 gauge.

The hydro date may not matter. Do you plan on getting the tank filled or just exchanging it at a gas supplier? Where I exchange my tank (Airgas), they don't care if the hydro is out of date on the tank I bring in. For me, it's more convenient to exchange a tank than have it filled and the...
