    Kona Coffee Stout

    Be careful, 100% Kona coffee can be pretty bitter. Most of the time you get it here brewed as a 10% blend.

    Swamp cooler keeps the temps around 65-70 with no problem. I think the problem is mostly lack of headspace.

    Before I went to bed Saturday night I checked my fermenter and my little yeasty babies were happily bubbling away. When I got up Sunday morning it was apparent they rioted overnight... the airlock was blown out of the carboy and thick, green foam had overflowed the neck and into the swamp...

    Recipe Resizing - Hops Question

    When resizing a recipe from a 10-gallon batch to a 5-gallon batch, should I also halve the hop quantity? The recipe I'm looking at calls for frequent .5 oz Cascade hop additions and .25 oz just seems small to me. Thanks!
