New BCS-462 / RPi Control Panel Build

Yeah I was pretty bummed I couldn't get Beersmith to work. I think some other people were trying to get them to compile an RPi compatible version. Maybe you'll be successful. Brewtarget is decent though

New BCS-462 / RPi Control Panel Build

Very cool build. I'm doing something similar but running the ebrewsupply PID setup. I wanted a way to keep recipes on hand so I am running Brewtarget on an RPi and an adafruit 10.1" non touch screen. I will just be running a wireless keyboard I think. The damn hard part is mounting the screen...

Element for Brewer's Hardware element enclosure

I ordered one of these to use with Bobby's 2" TC solder on flange. The Stilldragon threaded portion for the element is too wide and will not fit down into the TC fitting. There isn't enough meat on either the TC fitting or the threaded portion on the element enclosure to machine down to make...

Beersmith and BCS on Raspberry Pi?

Yep no luck finding beersmith. I did get brewtarget operational on my pi last night. BCS should work as it's just a browser searching for an IP addy.

ebrewsupply DIY Kits -- Worth it?

He edited a wiring diagram for me as well as answering some basic questions about their kits. Ordered a 50a 2 pid kit from him today as well as a lot of label plates.

    Outdoor Bar build

What made you go with the metal framing versus wood? Do you plan on grinding the concrete down to show the aggregate? I only ask, we built my parents deck in a similar fashion but did use wood. It's sturdy as can be (mostly due to my father being a structural engineer). The plain concrete...
