or at least someone with a bit more knowledge than I.
I built the backatronics pwm from this thread:

Everything is working, have the led indicator light flashing on the ssr. I would like to put this in my panel...
My first was a 5 gal rubbermaid cooler. It did just fine for regular beers although it is a bit small. You'll want to keep the grist ratio to a qt/lb and either use a fly sparge or a couple batch sparges
Fermentate - Im not exactly sure of the metric. When carbonation is discussed the units are always volumes or co2. The calculators I was referring to split up sugar measurements into table, corn and dme. Since that is what he asked about that is the value I gave him.
From two different carbonation calculators, 3/4 of a cup is 6 oz of dme. This will give you between 2.4 and 2.6 vol of co2 in 5 gal of beer. Definitely boil the water for 10 min or so then add it to the bottling bucket. 2 cups is about right you just want tohaley get the dme dissolved.
I had heard about this beer but had never really come across it until a few weeks ago at my in laws. I must say sipping this in front of a roaring fire while.it spitted snow and the wind howled outside made me actually like the christmas season. Decided then it would be my next brew, started...
It 's fine. Don't panic. Iodine can be uses to kill nasties in water backpacking in the outmost regions. Not going ti kill you or anybody who drinks it. Might be an off flavor bit with that little amount I doubt it.
