California Common Two time gold winning Cali Common

Brewed this tonight. Came a tiny bit shy of OG at about 1.053 - could be temp or could be tun. LHBS ran outa 2112 so I had to use WLP810 instead. Hoping I can keep this around 16 degrees - might be a notch or two high. Will report back!

Help! condensation on walls during brewing

All very good ideas. We've been doing 3 and 5 gal batches so getting quite a bit. I have a dehumidifier that I'll try in conjunction with cracked windows next time. Miight try to get my hands on a propane burner - not sure how well it'd work at -20C though...

Help! condensation on walls during brewing

Hi all, Relatively new to brewing - going since Oct. We've had quite a cold snap here today in Toronto and, while I have the goodies on the boil, I've had quite a lot of condensation on my kitchen walls. I don't wanna have any paint/mould issues. Any ideas how to stop it?

Winter Seasonal Beer Holly (Christmas Ale)

Brewed this a little under a month ago and it's been in bottles for just under two weeks. Couldn't wait any longer and pulled the first bottle last night at a dinner party. Not quite as carbonated as it should be yet, but whoa, what a great beer. Super malty, a little sweet and spicy. Passed it...

Ordinary Bitter Two Kids Brewing Incredulous (Engish Ordinary Bitter)

Brewed last night - the wort tasted great. Made a potentially critical error when shopping on Saturday - didn't do enough research... The shopkeep thought crystal 40 would make a decent 'English Med Crystal' - but further looking shows it should've been 60-70. I had some 85 and some 30 kicking...

Thanks! As we're still new to the game we don't have a kegging or casking set-up yet. Does this one work at all in bottles? If you think it might, how much priming sugar would you recommend to get the right carbonation

Ordinary Bitter Two Kids Brewing Incredulous (Engish Ordinary Bitter)

Hey all We're pretty new to brewing (1st brew just bottled and 2nd brew put away to ferment on Sunday) so please excuse the ignorance. The grain bill here says 4 days primary fermentation - does this mean it spends only 4 days in the carboy? Cheers!
