    Commercial Whirlpooling

The bottom of the kettle is slightly domed and the kettle we use, we have an outlet on the side of the kettle at the highest part of the bottom. There is a drain at the center in the lowest part as well to get the trub out. Whirlpooling gets most of the trub out but not all.

    If you LOVE your job...

I love my job to the point that most of the time doesn't seem like work. I got extremely lucky over the summer and started working for a craft brewery and after a couple of months interning and expressing my intent to stay, came on long term as a brewer in Nov. Here is a quick picture I took at...

    GOOD on Netflix STREAMING?

I agree AMC has some really good shows. Over a year ago I watched Mad Men on Netflix and have been keeping up with it ever since. I've seen parts of Hells on Wheels but didn't really get into it, but I think that was due to being mid season and having no clue what was going on. It does seem like...

Harvesting Yeast from Commercial Beer Bottle

I have yet to do this, but I don't see it being an issue as long as you have propagated it some like the first 2 starters that DonO did in the video and than just make a starter before brewing

Harvesting Yeast from Commercial Beer Bottle

If you dont do anything else to other than propagate the yeast up and store in the starter wort in a jay I've read a few-several months and then suggested to make a starter before pitching. if you go through the process to freeze it you can keep it pretty much for ever

Harvesting Yeast from Commercial Beer Bottle

here is video that goes thru the process using Heady Topper instead of Bells but dont think the process would differ
