British Brown Ale Nut Brown AG

I brewed this again and, yeah, it's pretty cloudy. Fermented for about 20 days at 16C and then cold crashed for 3-4 days but didn't use any gelatin......just some more input.

British Brown Ale Nut Brown AG

I just bottled this and so far I am very impressed. I let some friends, who aren't big on browns, taste it and they loved it. I used Minch Malt's Hook Head Ale malt as my base malt which gave it a nice sweet biscuit flavor. My OG was right on at 1.054 but I got a FG of 1.008...new hydrometer, so...

    Northern Italy Homebrewers?

Hey Ivan, So I made my first "cider" this year. I followed the Graff recipe and grain bill here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=117117 I used commercial apple juice, E. Kent Goldings, and Safale S-05. I had a pilsner at 0.5 °C in my fermentation chamber so I had to ferment at...

    Northern Italy Homebrewers?

Message sent. BeerWhale had an Italian tank but he's no longer in the country. I seem to recall that he found the adapter online. I don't think it was that big of a problem.....or maybe I just don't remember right:drunk:

    Northern Italy Homebrewers?

Benvenuto! CO2 has been a problem here for me. I found a place near me that does refills but I also have a US tank and they complained after they filled it. I guess they were only used to the big ol' iron tanks. I'll PM you the name of the place if you're interested. I know that you need to...

Beer wars: Yuengling fights massive merger of Budweiser and Miller Lite brewers

For real, the Yuengling Black & Tan is top notch. I didn't care too much for their lager but the Black & Tan on tap is amazing. I also liked Lionshead when I lived in Philly. We used to pound those and try to figure out the pictograms on the inside of the Lionshead caps.....the more we drank the...

Filtering beer before priming to bottle

Ideally, transfer to a 2ndary. Then cold crash and use the gelatin method. It makes a huge difference. All those big particles drop out and you still have yeast to bottle carb. I normally cold crash for at least a week. If you can't cold crash then you have to wait. Wait a long time. That...

    Northern Italy Homebrewers?

Welcome to the thread! As far as I know, there isn't any specific Italian word for LHBS. If they sell HB stuff, then they know (and use) the words homebrew/homebrewing/home brew. If you're searching online or in the yellow pages you could try phrases like: -materie prime per la produzione...

    15% off/$33.14 ITC-308 or 15% off/$42.49 for ITC-308S with 12" probe sensor

I'd love to participate and buy the ITC-308S, but I only see the ITC-308 on the Amazon Italy website. Is the ITC-308S available in Italy?

    LHBS in Northern (Vicenza) Italy

@stanberry- Welcome to Italy. Let's start an official group! @ColliBerici- Sorry, but I just saw your message now. If you're looking for wine making supplies, you're in the right area. There are a ton of farm supply type shops outside of Vicenza that sell everything you need. I think the...
