I brewed a favorite recipe today

@D.B.Moody you shared this recipe with me a while back. Civil Life Brown is one of my favorite beers. I brewed it and should be kegging this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out! Cheers!

I brewed a favorite recipe today

@DBhomebrew @D.B.Moody That's one of my favorite beers in the world from my favorite brewery. I will echo your thoughts. If that comes out anything close, I'm brewing this right away!

I brewed a favorite recipe today

I brewed a very similar beer this winter but used S-04 yeast. I absolutely loved it. Maybe i will try it again with the s33 and see which I like more

Update: Turned out fantastic. Super drinkable, but still have great banana/clove flavors. Not sure what peoples issues with WB-06 are because it worked great with this beer. Picture below

Made a 5 gallon pacific coast IPA, and I’m worried my temp was too high for the first day and a half

If it makes the OP feel better, I too have dropped the wrapper from the LME in my brew. One of my first brews, I ran the can under hot water to loosen the LME. Well, that made the wrapper slippery and it slipped right off and into the brew. Oh well... it continued to boil I'm sure that killed...

I brewed a favorite recipe today

I've been doing nothing but partial boil extract brews. I absolutely love it. The results are there and I can fit it in my busy schedule. One day I may make the jump to all grain, but right now I have no reason or desire to. I feel like I can accomplish killer beers with these partial boils...

I brewed a favorite recipe today

Brewed a quickie: 6lbs Wheat DME 1oz Liberty - 15mins 1oz Saaz - 10mins 1oz Mount Hood - 5mins 1pkg WB-06 Heard mixed reviews of WB-06 but went for it anyway and really glad i did. This thing took off within hours. Hit FG in 6 days. Held steady and I kegged on Day 8. The sample I pulled had...

When is a secondary fermenter a good idea?

I know this is the eternal home brewing debate... I have friends who swear by secondaries for clarity sake. I don't do them strictly because I am lazy. I'm super happy with how my beers come out without it, so I don't feel like doing extra work. Also, I kind of like my beers hazy - depending...

New post a picture of your pint

My stout just got finished. I'm in love with it. I would post the recipe, but I'm at work and also lazy 😂 . It's pretty straight forward but came out great.

    Show Us Your Label

Wish I could take credit. I found that online somewhere at some point and loved it. One logo for my two favorite things in life! Go Blues!

    Show Us Your Label

What do people use to design these great labels? Also are any of them very cheap to free programs? 😂 I spend enough on this hobby as is.

How to make a hot/fusel tasting beer... on purpose

Reading this thread made me think of this beer we used to drink in college called Camo ICE. It was god awful and after thinking about it, I almost threw up in my mouth. We would drink a couple of those BEFORE going into a bar thinking it would help us save money because we were getting drunk...

Had issues racking my New England Hazy Wheat to my fermentation bucket, should I use a hop spider to rack to my bottling bucket?

Am I the only one that doesn't siphon from my kettle to fermentation vessel? I just dump it in after cooling and maybe leave the trub that settled at the bottom of the kettle if possible. If not, oh well. It will all settle out during fermentation before i siphon to my keg. When adding wort to...
