    Mosaic/Nelson Sauvin Pairing

Thanks for this. I am considering an amber with Sorachi and have been going every which way on combos. I am now considering trying this paired with Liberty and Centennial, then using Earl Grey tea late and DH for a tea like quality. Haven't formulated a grain recipe yet but leaning towards...

Blind guy needs a ph meter!!!!

Okay, so not completely blind, but damn close to it. My color vision is next to useless so pH strips are out. I had, and ruined, a blue labs meter, but couldn't read the display, even my sighted buddy had problems reading that display, besides which the probe was non-replaceable anyway??? So...

Recirculating active fermentation... has anybody done it?

Doh!!!!! Sincerest apologies for the spelling errors. My eyes are horrible and I didn't even notice the obvious mistakes. In reflecting on some of these methods, I have come to the conclusion that they are, perhaps, more lent to the commercial level of volume, and that, at our scale, they...

Thanks Scoundrel I have been looking at these since they first got them, kept hemming and hawing over them. Might be able to afford a conical by the time there is a decent supply!

    Speidel Plastic Tanks

I was thinking just that, why not a CO2 push, surely these would stand up to the pressure needed to move the beer? Really only one way to tell for sure! I am still wondering what makes these any better than a modified, larger bucket? Cost/benefit still eludes me. Two mods I was pondering...

    160/- Strong Scotch Ale

I 've been working on a recipe for a Wee Heavy for Nov. I keep going back and forth between a concentrating boil and Carramalt, C-60, c-80. what I am leaning towards now is maybe halving the caramel/crystal and boiling down a gallon. Thoughts?
