I usually give a 6 pack to my friend that is helping..and usually how we do it is the one whom buys the kit/ingredients gets to keep a majority of the beer, and the other gets a 6 pack. Each time we brew we swap so works out in the end.

I think it's a 5 gal carboy, but could be wrong. I do know that it's already to the top of it though. Basically the air lock is a rubber stopper, with a fermentation lock placed in that. I had to fill half of it with water and it has a plastic cap on it. I can post a picture if need be. Thanks!

Ok thanks, I've never used a blowoff tube, nor know if I even own one lol. The only tube that I believe I have is just the smaller one used for bottling I believe. Can that be still used? I sound like the beginner of the day here

I stopped there the other day, they now have a Cream ale which is wonderful and a Bourbon Stout, which I thought was a little off but I think they said they were having problems with that one coming from the basement. Just thought I'd pass it along
