I have 4, 5 gallon ball and lock corny kegs. They are cleaned, sanitized, seal and hold pressure like a champ. I am selling them for $50 each.

I do not think they will ever carb up the correct amount because you only used 4 oz instead of the recommended 1oz per gallon, which would equal 5 ounces. I made the same mistake when I was a newb and the result was under carbbed beer.

Yes it will. Boil the 1 oz of priming sugar per gallon in water, cool, dump into keg, and rack. The yeast will consume the sugar and carbonate.

Thanks for the responses. Is it a better idea to buy one from like a craigslist, welding or online source? I have no idea. I'm assuming that they are like propane tanks and have dates on them. Is it easier to buy one from somewhere that will swap them out?

I'm slowly getting into kegging buying pieces here and there. What size cylinder should I be looking for? I know 4-5lb may be the minimum, but is that too small? Is a 20lb too large? Any advice, trial and errors, and experiences welcome. Thank you
