Not quite finished but thought I would post some pics. I still need to attach tile, wire up light, and attach backsplash. I used a GE 5.0 cu. ft. freezer Holds 2 5 gal cornies, and a 3 gal on the hump. I can't wait for this to be completed.

So how thick is the cement backer board? I trimmed the top already with my 3/4" oak. I planned on attaching directly to the plywood top but I like the idea of the added support. I'm not too concerned about the weight but I don't want the tile to be flush with the oak trim.

I was in the same boat waiting for my stir bars. Here is what I did.
I had a quick disconnect drill bit that was broken, you know, the hex shaped ones for a drill driver. I broke the remainder of the drill portion off then wrapped it in teflon tape. Worked great.
