I just bottled my first batch of beer. It's a northern brown ale. Looks great and can't wait to drink it. My opinion so far is that it would be a lot easier to go to the store and buy a 6-pack, but a whole lot less fun. It will all pay off come a few weeks. :rockin:

I have noticed that beersmith only works for pc, and I have a mac. That, why I was wondering if I could just divide recipes. Plus I didn't want to pay for a site right now.

I am just starting to brew beer. My first batch is fermenting now with an ale pale kit. It is a 6 gallon batch. I would like to maybe do 3 gallon batches so I can continue to make new batches. Making multiple 5-6 gallon batches would make more beer than I could drink, and will build up fast...

I have heard a lot of people say 1 week in primary, 2 weeks in secondary, 3 weeks in bottles.

It has been fermenting for about 5 days.

Should I let my batch sit in my priming bucket for a couple days after transferring it from my fermenter? I didn't know if it helps to clear the beer before bottling.
