I just added some pics to my orig post. Here is a pic of the tools used. Note that the bulkhead has left hand threads, so tightening up the meter won't loosen it. I didn't spray replacement foam, as I want to remove the fitting for cleaning. Don't want nasties in the threads.

Rather than bleach, use h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide) to control the nasties. That and an air pump and stone.
