    Improving kit stout? Oak? Coffee?

Either BYO or Zymurgy magazine just did a big section on adding coffee to beers, at work so I can’t give you the issue number but I did look online and found an informative article on it. http://***********/stories/item/315-brewing-with-coffee Not as good as the one in the magazine but...

Wort chiller...is it worth the expense?

@nate I drop mine in the boil for the last 10 to 15 mins to sanitize and have not had a problem yet. maybe one of the more expert brewers will address it further for you.

Wort chiller...is it worth the expense?

I made a Ribcage Chiller and it is one of the best things I ever did for my brewing. It really cools the wort fast. Go to You Tube and search user immolateus, he has a vid called "how to make a wort chiller" that is nifty. Its the vid i used to make mine.

    Bottle Condition Question

So I recently brewed and bottled a brewer’s best dunklewisen kit and I was wondering if anyone knows a good time to let it sit? I have read that wisen beer will go bad faster than other beers. Anyone know a good amount of time till it should be in its prime? It’s been about 3 weeks.

    Questions about second Brew

Yeah that was what I was thinking too, the carboy got almost like a slight condensation in the top now that I think of it so it probably was just a stall in the fermentation process. I was using the Dry Yeast that came with the kit, I believe it was muntons, I haven’t progressed to liquid...

    Questions about second Brew

So it’s week 2 in the primary and all the sudden the top of my beer looks like it is covered in spit and I have new air lock activity. Previously (last week) the airlock stopped bubbling and all the Krousen (sp?) dropped off now it looks like it is kicking off again. Is this normal or do I have...

    To much Carb any ideas?

@thelastdandy, I just used what came in the kit, it was pre-mesured for 5 gal so it may have been a little toomuch if i lost some liquid from transfer but i wouldent think that it was that much i bottled up and was 11ounces short of 5 gals. And I wasent watching the temp of the brew but i kept...

    To much Carb any ideas?

So I was drinking some of the beer from my first batch the other night. See my problem is that the beer was way over carbonated; it was almost like drinking beer soda. I used a brewer’s best American Bock kit and followed the directions for priming but it just doesn’t seem right to me, any help...
