    DIY Tap Handle?

interesting. I did not know that. I knew it loaded up a bit, but not heard of it coming apart as a result. it was a buddy's bench grinder. we'll look it that.

    DIY Tap Handle?

for you penniless DIYer's out there like me, we used a bench grinder to get the wood dowel close to shape and then fashioned up a poor mans lathe with a wood screw in one end and a nail in the vice for the other(2 man operation). with sandpaper, we got the projectile rounded and any bumps and...

    DIY Tap Handle?

here are my latest. green skull is a shift lever from Wally World, a spanner wrench(done on this thread already), and a 30mm cannon shell from an AC-130 I got from a member here from a real Mission in Iraq (got the note of authenticity and everything!). I got a polymer fake projectile and...

Sterling- the smaller 2 were in the same spot. I had planted 2 rhizomes in each spot. these are over 4-5 years old. the last one is of the sprouts getting ready to grow. every plant has these on them.

    Has anyone grown Neomexicana hops?

I've been away on other pursuits for a while and just saw this thread. I have found plants in the Jemez mtns. mostly males and a few female. growning on slopes above streams at about 8000 feet. a buddy made a berr from them a few years ago and it was very good.I got a few pics, very few without...

I have tried liberty and sterling here and they don't do well. I need to dig these up and I'll use my own rhizomes from my cascade and galena to put into their spots. these will do well in a more humid climate than New Mexico. they flourished during monsoon season when the humidity came up and...

    Labels on Tap Handles

I do a slight variation on that. I print the labels and laminate them. then just use a bit of tape on a handle that looks similar to those you posted with out the chalk board part. I can come up with a pic if you want it.

Does anyone get a rash from the hops plants?

when I sit and trim back extra vines, I get some stinging and slight rash like stuff on my legs and arms like you do. I don't think it's an allergy, but a kind of chaffing from the spiney stems. so, yes others experience the same.:mug:

    Hop rope size question?

I stand corrected. I just went and got more. it was 1/4" Sisal rope. 50' is $5.50. I just got the 3/8 version and it was $8.80 for 50'. either should work fine.

    Hop rope size question?

that was it Coir Twine. 3/8 or 1/4" from Lowe's or HD, I don't think you can go wrong.

    Hop rope size question?

IIRC I used 3/8 coarse twine from Home Depot. looks a lot like the rope I got with my rhizomes years ago.

    Hatchet Job labels

the more I look at this one the more I like it. much better balanced. maybe experiment with some color between the oval and rounded rectangle. nothing too dark or loud though.
