I agree, Lye can be pretty hard to find anymore, its very rare to find in any grocery stores anymore, i know that a popular brand a few years ago "Red Devil Lye" was taken off the shelves due to health risks and whatnot, and there are online companies who sell it, i buy mine from Essential...- Bill_the_Baker
