I usually use only 2oz at priming. Perfect for my taste buds. My first batch had 4oz and was strong at first. It did mellow with age. Had a bottle that was over a year old and had a very lite flavor of vanilla. Don't toss it. Put it away.
Correct me if I'm wrong
Is the boil time is 60 mins? So the Cascade hops would be added with all the DME. Also, is the boil a rolling boil? Do I stir constantly during the boil? Sorry, 1st time not doing a kit.
Brewing a 5gal batch of American Wheat for the past week. Came home today and checked on it. Oh crap, little white "mold" spots floating at the top along with some yeast. Damn it, batch is ruined. It was only my 3rd batch I've made since starting this hobby.
Wait, what have I learned, sit...
The beer is in the basement. Average temp is around 70, 60 in winter. 1 Last question ( until I think of another) Does a Co2 lose pressure when it gets colder? Looks like mine has dropped quite a bit while in the fridge. Checked and didn't find any leaks.
I have several corny kegs but can only get 1 into my fridge. The question is can I store a fully carbonated keg at room temp?
I would like to have a few full ones ready to chill when the one in the fridge goes empty.
Will it hurt a beer to go from the fridge to room temp and back again...
