I have read in a few posts that iodaphor is not effective for use as a sanitizer in the presence of sugar. Could anyone explain this to me or point me to something that is more credible than just a random post. Thanks in advance for any help!
I am trying to figure out which pump to use to recirculate cold water through my whirlpool chiller. I already use the march pump for the wort. I originally bought a small submersible pond pump from harbour freight but it barely pushed the water through the coils. it looks like HF no longer...
I guess this is what I get for trying to do this on the cheap. The Auber switches are nice but they are also about $10 more a switch. I was hoping I could put something inline to drop it from 110vac to 12vdc but I guess I will just have to use a wall setup. Thanks
It is actually this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/220807727775?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
The seller just informed me that he was mistaken and the LED is 12v 10a
The switch I am using, lights up with a LED. The switch is rated to 120v but for some reason, the seller told me the LED is 3V only. I was trying to avoid using a adapter that you plug into the wall if possible
Is there a way to go from 110v to power an LED that is rated to 3v? Can I use a resistor? Bear with me, I am still trying to figure out all this electricity stuff. I could seem to find what i was looking for in my searches so far. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I just found out the LED is rated...
I just finished putting together my whirlpool chiller. It is made from about 60ft. of 1/2" ID soft copper. I plan on recirculating the chill water through the coils with a 200glh pond pump. My question is how much salt should I add to the ice water that I am recirculating? I want to chill it...
I am putting together a pump in a toolbox setup for my whirlpool chiller. I have been thinking about somehow putting a thermowell in the tubing that goes from the output of the pump so that i can monitor the temperature as it drops. That way, I could even put a cheap temperature controller on...
So the last thing I have to buy for my setup is hi temp tubing. I was settled on silicone but I have heard that you can restrict the outflow of a pump if you are feeding it with silicone tubing as the silicone tubing will burst. Is this true? I had planned on mounting my pump inside a box with...
