    Best Belgan Trippel kit?

My first and only Tripel was from Williams Brewing in CA....it was awesome. And, like most high ABV, it just got better and better with time. I like the Williams LME that is 'uncanned' and seems to be a bit fresher. YMMV. Good brewing......

    Skeeter Pee

Currently, making my first batch...just racked to secondary after a week of fermentation. I used a 3qt white grape juice starter (2 days) and red star cuvee yeast. A bit concerned as it seems the ec1118 is the more popular option. I'm going to follow the recipe for this 1st batch, but want to...

Here's my pride and joy I finished during Christmas! Thanks to all the HBT'ers for the inspiration to build this thing and start kegging.

What Sanitisers and Cleaners are used.

I've read quite a lot about PBW vs Oxyclean and have used PBW from the start. I recently bought a tub of Oxyclean and tried it out. Very effective, but leaves that film I've read about. I'll swish with vinegar and it should remove. Bottom line, you want to save a buck, get som OC. Want...

    CW Crate - Plastic crates?

Rev, I agree the plastic crates are an awesome option. My prob before I found CW was that good, heavy ones are very expensive everywhere I looked a couple months ago. I agree they have advantages. I do like the divided bottles of the CW crates...less clanking. On another note, I need to...

    12oz vs Bombers

I was leaning towards bombers when I started for all the pros mentioned. But, a fellow seasoned homebrewer talked me out of it. 12oz'ers are just more readily available, more standard for 6-pack holders, crates, shelves in the fridge, etc...and easier to acquire. I also give them away and...

    CW Crate - Plastic crates?

I bought 8 of the 12oz crates and 4 of the 22oz ones for my grolsh bottles from CW. They are great! They're like a 'plastic cardboard'. I like how the top folds over for dust protections and good stack-ability. My bottle collection was getting out of hand and CW crates have really dressed...

    CW Crate

Thx for the info! I was just about to pose a question in the bottling section about CW Crate, but searched first and found your feedback. I was concerned about the durability and strength...especially the bottom since they look like they snap together. Are they strong? Do the 'screws'...

    Hop Allergy?

I also developed a beer alergy about 8 years ago. Many full flavored beers break me out in hives, but only if I drink many. Beer and all the new allergy medicines (Allegra/Claritin) do this to me....weird. Light beers don't bother me at all. Good luck and I'm curious to see what you find out.
