    Your LHBS should have large containers used for bulk extract which also can be used for fermentors. I have two myself and they work great. I got mine free and it does not hurt to ask.

    What does your LHBS charge for bulk grain sacks?

    50# for $25 from local brewery for 2 row $1/lb for Special Grain And after seeing the prices above I feel lucky. Going to pickup 200# in morning for me and friends.

    Rockstar Cooler for fermentation????

    I just aquired a FREE large rockstar round electric cooler that is able to hold a 5 gal bucket or carboy for cooling my brew to lager temps. Any one used this before? If so did it work or was it to cold?

    Well there is only one option in Flagstaff. But I usually/always only get few special grains and yeast from them and other 2 row and hops elsewhere. The local prices are ie as a kite.     Cream of 3 Crops failure

    I have had two issues with yeast lag and the best description is a horse blanketey smell and taste. I currently have 10 gallons that I am letting sit to see if the smell and taste will leave? Good luck.

    off flavor troubleshooting

    How about the horse blanket smell? I have had this problem twice now and usually its from long lag time for fermentation. Anyone have this issue?

    Frozen Garden Hose

    So I am going to brew on Saturday and today I had to leave my garden hose inside to thaw. Last brew day the hose was frozen and I was not able to chill the brew and pitch till next day. Any other great cold brew stories?

    I use boil the hop bag with marbles . Add to keg and let sit for some time.

    Where do you buy your ingredients/supplies?

    Me and a friend get all of our 2-row and special grain from a local micro-brew. Other yeast and stuff from local HBS, except hops from ebay and such.

    Dry Hop VS. Flame Out

    Yes I do keg and also dry hop in the keg. How long does your aroma/flavor last in the keg? I seem to only get 2 weeks till is tastes different.

    I have have multiple beers that have been dry hopped lately. They all seem to lose the great flavor and aroma within 2 weeks. So the question is if I add alot of hops at flame out instead or dry hop will that help???
