Fresh hops is just an hr drive away, offered me a beer when I was there. I picked out 2 cascade and 2 fuggle last year in march. it was the soonest i could go there and pick them up. if I didnt have the family with me I could of played in the hops and righzomes and work of the debt. lol!! Nice...

I am new to growing hops, but have read that cutting back to 3 main runs is a good idea. this will be my second year with cascade and fuggle, started with righzomes. grew a few cones. this years harvest should be better right ?

my first IPA had 4 ozs of hops, 1oz simcoe 12.9, for 60 min, at 30 into boil added another 1oz of simcoe. at 10 min till end added 1oz of centennial hops then 5 til end added another 1oz. Almost to bitter for me and I love IPA!!! Aroma and hop flavour was great!! Partial mash

my first two batches of beer i did not use a hydrometer. first time i was so concernrd about contamination I forgot to get a reading. second batch, I really wasnt sure how to read the thing, so i didnt. both batches turned out fine. If the bubbles from airlock are more than 1 minute apart...
