Thanks I really appreciate it. No harm done on the pot by the looks of it. I guess I'll just continue this boil of just water as the propane canister is almost empty, then soak it in some 5-star to be safe.
I about to use a 5 gallon pot to boil some wort, I cleaned with soap, scrubbed it with steel wool and there still seems to be some mildew stains on the pot? What the hell? I'm currently in the process of boiling 4 gallons to see if scrubbing after that will help. Any ideas as to how to get them...
I had my beer ferment for 17 days. Bottled it 4 days ago and I'm itching to try it out. I know it's early but I just wanna know, will it even be carbonated?
Thats what I was thinking. I was mainly concerned about how fast my fermenting slowed down. After 24 hours it was vigorous for about 24 more hours. Then quickly went from a bubble every 12 seconds to a bubble every 15. Ive read that a hydrometer reading will tell its done or one bubble a minute...
I brewed beer late on the 9th going into the morning of the 10th. After about 24 hours my airlock looked like this. And also I'm not quite sure why the sanitized water in the airlock turned brown, I'm not to worried about it.

Thing is, I can't drive legally to go get some ice. So I have to empty my icebox with cold water into my wort. That's my best option. I just need to know that's A ok.
