    First Batch ever in Keg....

    So I threw in an Octoberfest into my brand new kegging system....(Christmas Gift) I have it at 38 degrees and the CO2 tank is at 30 psi....When is the beer ready to drink. I want to try it ASAP

    No sign of fermentation

    About 18 hours ago I put in a nice Stone IPA clone in to start fermenting. I see no sign at all that active fermentation has started. Should I be worried?

    Messed up batch size?!?!

    Thanks for all the feedback. I have decided to ride it out and have less beer. In hopes to have higher quality.

    Ok so my batch size is supposed to be 5 gal. But for some reason I only put in 4 gal in primary. Am I screwed for this beer or can I add 1 gal. Of water in secondary?

    Noob questions?

    I just received a whole home brewing kit and I have brewed 4 beers. I have only brewed the kits ( the ones In which your steep grains) but I am thinking on venturing out to a whole grain any ideas on what I should do next?
