    Mead help: too yeasty

    My mead is a year old today. I tried it and it has a wonderful cinnamon/orange smell, has an amazing clear colour, tastes GREAT...at first. The after taste tastes like yeast... not a tolerable flavour at all. Can this be saved? What can I do to remove the yeast after flavour? :confused: Thanks!!

    10 day difference

    The carboy on the left is 10 days old and the one on the right was made a few hours ago. The left one used to be the same colour as the right! I am amazed how quickly the cider has started to clarify. I am so excited, can't wait to sample it!

    Secondary question about mead

    I fermented my mead for a month and transferred it to a secondary today, to top it up I added about a gallon of spring water and honey. Should I just bottle it or do I need to transfer it again due to the secondary fermentation that will occur? How long should I keep it in the secondary?

    How to tell if mead is infected?

    I made my first batch of mead on Wednesday, it started bubbling within 2 hours, and has been pretty steady since then. It's really foamy. I added orange slices and raisins to the mix, everything on the top looks white/thick/foamy and sort of gross looking... are there any true signs when it's...
